Its Official!

Prematurely Gray

My Conte yankees have gone so gray that they've been drummed out of the Army of the  Potomac and are now the newest members of the Army of Northern Virginia.

Were they always this pale or does Conte just use a very unstable pigment?

I hate to see them go.

Soldier on!

Hi Mannie, what causes that? Do the pigments in teh plastic actually fade over time?

Hi Stephen,

I don't know. I'd like to have a new one for comparison. As I recall they were only a light blue when I got them but now they're nearly gray.

Can't you just paint them ?

Hey Mannie I'm 12 years old and I live in montana. I'm a huge civil war fan. But the only battle fields around here are Little Bighorn ( which their bookstore has no toy soldiers whatsoever ) and big hole (which has no bookstore whatsoever) my toy soldier collectoion consists of 575 soldiers and only 8 12 ponders and 2 siege mortars all from the American revolution to ww2. But my civil war ones are my favorite. My first bag of acw soldiers came from g'burg during summer vacation. For a long while I had tiny little battles with no landscape. You changed that all ( the no landscape part ). No my battles have rivers amazing fences, bridges, hills, buildings , and all sorts of things. It's not easy liking the civil war in Montana . While I'm trying to make a conversation about whether or not burnsides charge at Fredricksburg did anything for the union my friends are talking about whether or not Custer should have split his men apart. Anyways I'm a huge fan and want to be known as a regular follower. Now, Jhon brown needs help sparking a rebellion !

P.S. I've always been union and Lincoln forever !
