The 2009 Gettysburg Toy Soldier Show

Recession? What recession?

The show was last weekend. I didn't know what to expect though I was hoping to pick up some bargains. As it turned out it was a pretty high-end show, mostly metal and some very elaborately painted plastic. I was able however to find one dealer in the crowd who had some five dollar ziplocks crammed with MPC ringhands and Union cavalry figures, bless his heart.

I also took the opportunity to swing by Gettysburg Miniatures (my favorite toy soldier shop) to pick up the latest release from Toy Soldiers of San Diego; their Cavalry, Artillery, and Wounded set, which I'll review on the 15th.

Until then crank up the volume and enjoy this little video I made of the G'burg show.

Soldier on!

Great video. Like the way you synched the tempo of the music with the image transitions, and the musicians together with the wind instruments.

Good stuff.

Fun video! Thanks. I'm looking forward to your review of the TSSD set. I already have 4 of the artillery, wounded, cav. etc sets and have converted the heck out of them.
